Cissy King, a former dancer on the Lawrence Welk show gave a fun filled Cha Cha lesson at our Membership Workshop in January. As reported by Mary Stanton of Xi Alpha Omicron, Cissy is best friends to our Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Sister, Mary Gilliland-City Council 1st. Vice President, chapter Laureate Alpha Sigma.
Cissy autographed two photos which are for sale and will benefit the Roadrunner Food Bank.
Mary Stanton had a very nice chat with Cissy at the membership workshop. Mary would like to share this cute tidbit about Cissy. When Cissy was a little girl, people used to ask her what was her name. She said, " Happy". Mary asked why Happy. Cissy told her because she is always happy!
